Keys to Success

To succeed in this program, you must be organized, motivated, and resilient. You will need to absorb and retain a wide range of medical, technical, and theoretical information quickly, so it helps to cultivate good study habits and to seek out support from tutors or faculty members as soon as you need it.

You need to be open to different opinions, analyze contradictory information, understand finance and information systems, and interpret data.  Motivating others to implement their decisions requires strong leadership abilities. At times, you’ll work collaboratively with fellow students, so effective written and oral communication skills will be important. You must also be able to exercise tact and diplomacy, and conduct yourself professionally.

Our faculty are dedicated to helping you succeed. With our small class sizes and support resources, you’ll receive support and insight to help guide your progress.

Continuing Education

The B.S. in Health Science with a Concentration in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound) is the highest degree South College offers in this field. Students who are interested in management may be interested in our online Master of Business Administration with a Concentration in Healthcare Administration program.

Success at South College

Shawn Domm

I chose South College because it came highly recommended from mentors of mine, the faculty is second to none, and the program fits my ever-changing lifestyle. I also chose it because of the flexibility. My wife is still serving in the United States Air Force on Active Duty, and this means that we move when they tell us to move.

One of the major reasons I chose South College was for the smaller class sizes. It allows more one-on-one time between students and professors, which enhances the learning experience for me.

Erin Soucie, Diagnostic Medical Sonography

South College was the only place that felt like home after I went and visited the campus and met with the staff. They were super hands on and involved before and after my application process. The medical equipment was far better than other colleges that I had visited. I loved everything that the campus had to offer and I was so excited (and still am) to be a student here.
