South College Nashville offering free dental services for veterans in partnership with Tennessee Titans
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 21, 2024
In recognition of Veterans Day, South College will offer free dental services to retired and active duty military members on Monday, Nov. 11, at the Nashville Campus Public Dental Clinic. The clinic, located at 616 Marriott Drive on South College’s campus, will serve military members with routine cleanings from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., and up to 50 appointments will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
“We are deeply thankful to our veterans and active duty military members for their service,” said Nick South, president of South College’s Nashville campus. “This is one small way we can give back and ensure they receive the dental care they deserve. We welcome them to South College for this event and beyond.”
Veterans and active-duty service members can reserve an appointment by calling 629-802-3221. Walk-ins also are welcome, though availability may be limited. In addition to routine cleanings, South College will assist veterans in scheduling follow-up care for any additional services. If appointments fill up or a veteran is unavailable on Nov. 11, South College will extend the free services to military members on other dates that fit their schedules.
Representatives from the Tennessee Titans also will be present to show their support and surprise patients.
The Nashville Campus Public Dental Clinic offers various routine and specialized dental services to the community, including children’s services. Students provide hands-on care under the supervision of licensed DDS professionals.
As a community service, the clinic provides a 25% discount to military members, first responders and seniors year-round. Veterans are always eligible to receive services free of charge.
