Pursue your future goals in nursing with our Associate of Science in Health Science (Pre-Nursing) program in Dallas. This program is designed to provide opportunity to establish the foundation needed to apply for admission to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. All of the required prerequisite courses to pursue admission to the South College BSN are included in this program. To get you ready to pursue your interest in nursing, you’ll study anatomy, physiology, biology, chemistry, nutrition, and more. You’ll also take courses that provide you with an overview of the nurse’s role in healthcare in order to prepare you for success in the nursing program. Upon completing this program, you’ll be prepared to apply for admission to the Dallas BSN program or to pursue a variety of entry-level health profession positions.

You’ll need to earn an associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing in order to become a registered nurse. The AS Health Science (Pre-Nursing) at South College prepares you for the rigors of nursing school, as well as satisfactory completion of prerequisites you may need to qualify to apply to Nursing School. Upon successful completion, you will earn an Associate of Science degree in Health Science which gives you many possible directions in Healthcare if you decide Nursing is not for you.
The AS Health Science (Pre-Nursing) program at South College is designed for completion in 21 months (7 quarters) for full-time students. Approved transfer credits results in adjustment as applicable to this time.
