Graduation Requirements
All students must complete the South College Physician Assistant Program and all its requirements within 30 months of matriculation.
The following criteria must be met to qualify for graduation with the South College Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree:
- Satisfactorily complete all the courses in the PA program with a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0.
- Achieve the published minimum passing grade for all didactic courses, clinical rotations, and the summative evaluation process.
- Successfully complete and maintain BLS and ACLS certification.
- Complete 50 hours of community service.
- Must achieve the program competencies regardless of cumulative GPA.
- Abide by professional conduct as defined by the South College Physician Assistant Program Student Honor Code, South College and program policies.
Matriculation and attendance at the College are privileges granted to the student in consideration of the performance of specified assignments and the maintenance of established standards of personal and professional conduct. The College reserves the right, and the student, by the act of matriculation, concedes to the College the right to require withdrawal any time the College deems it necessary to safeguard the standards of scholarship, conduct, and compliance with regulations, or for such other reasons deemed appropriate by the College as set forth in this manual and/or the South College Catalog. This also applies to the White Coat ceremony. Participation in the White Coat ceremony is at the discretion of South College and requires satisfactory completion of the didactic phase of the program.
