National Nurse Practitioner Week: Destiny Davis
In honor of National Nurse Practitioner Week, we asked FNP graduate, Destiny Davis, some questions on why she chose South College and her feelings on the program.
Why did you choose the FNP program?
I chose the FNP program because I wanted to do more. I became an RN to better the lives of others and quickly learned that I was meant to go beyond bedside nursing. I was meant to provide holistic, compassionate care and change lives as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
What do you like the most about the program and South College in general?
South College has provided me with a solid foundation of knowledge to provide the best care that I can for my patients. The college has been so welcoming and supportive throughout my entire journey.
What impact have the South College faculty and staff had on you?
The faculty and staff at South College have been phenomenal and are always in your corner!
How do you think your program is preparing you to pursue your career goals?
The FNP program at South College has helped me grow as a person and as a provider. I can proudly say that I feel very confident and prepared to take state boards and begin my career. I hope to one day open my own practice and change so many lives while I continue to learn and grow.
