Giving our students a learning environment where they can grow professionally and personally has always been our highest priority. Today, that means also offering specialized online learning opportunities. These opportunities often supplement on campus courses or provide opportunity for online learning to promote effective work-life balance. To serve students and assist in their educational pursuits, we are proud to participate in the Tennessee Promise, Tennessee Reconnect, Hope, and Yellow Ribbon programs. South College also offers several institutional grants including those for veterans, active military, military spouses and dependents, first responders, and recent high school graduates.
South College Knoxville is unique in that we have two amazing campuses within seven miles of each other. Our Main Campus is conveniently located on I-40. The building contains 56,000 square feet of modern lecture classrooms, specialty laboratories equipped with modern equipment, student center, Barnes & Noble bookstore, faculty/staff office space and work areas, and the library/resource center, which includes the writing and math labs, a computer laboratory, AV viewing room, study cubicles, and conference/study rooms. The undergraduate admissions department and many undergraduate classes are held at the main campus.
Our 2nd South College campus (known as “Parkside”) is also located on I-40. This high-tech, well-equipped facility is designed for advanced learning. Parkside also has a large student center, meeting and student rooms, library/resource center, and modern equipment for many of our healthcare programs.
We encourage, promote, and support professional development for the growth of our students and faculty. Plus, it’s encouraged to learn outside of the classroom and get hands-on experience. We make this a priority in many of our programs!
