Doctor of Physical Therapy – Complaint and Grievance Processes
Several avenues exist within the framework of the college by which students, employees, or members of the public may express concerns, complaints, or grievances. Please visit this page for more information: https://www.south.edu/student-resources/complaint-and-grievance-processes/.
Grievances related to program accreditation should first be managed using the guidelines above. If the grievance is not resolved satisfactorily, the individual may then direct the grievance to the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Contact information for CAPTE can be accessed through the APTA website at www.apta.org or by calling the Department of Accreditation of APTA at 703-706-3245. CAPTE can only respond to specific PT accreditation criterion violations. If a student chooses to file a complaint with CAPTE, the signed letter of complaint should be sent to: Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education. 3030 Potomac Ave., Suite 100 Alexandria, Virginia 22305-3085.
