Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification/Licensure

Upon successful completion of the Certificate program requirements, the student is eligible to apply for admission to write for the certification examination of the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).  Students/graduates convicted of a misdemeanor or felony may be excluded from clinical and from sitting for certification exams.  We work diligently with all students in preparation for certification examinations.  Not all states require licensure in this area, however evidence of certification is normally required.

State licensure is currently required in AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MS, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, and WI.  All other states do not require licensure. Passing of the certification exam is required in order to apply for state licensure.  Licensure requirements may vary from state to state.  Statutory and regulatory requirements can be found at each state’s board website.
