Message from the Program Director
Hello Friends,
Thank you for your interest in South College’s Asheville PA Master of Health Science Physician Assistant Program! I hope you are able to get your questions answered as you peruse our website and that you start to develop a spark of the love we all feel for the PA profession.
We are assembling a team of experienced full-time and adjunct faculty who will guide our students through the rigorous but rewarding path to being a PA. Our program is built on a curriculum model that has been tested and tried for many years and which has been very successful in training high-quality PAs. We are excited to be able to apply this model to a new population of students starting in January of 2023.
Asheville is a beautiful corner of the world with magnificent mountains, lush forests, and a temperate climate. Visitors and residents alike find there are more recreational, culinary, architectural, and artistic attractions than any one person could take in. From the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Biltmore Estate to the thriving music and food scene, South College Asheville PA students will discover why this area has been named one of the best places in the country to live!
Within its Asheville campus, South College has initiated its fourth graduate-level Physician Assistant educational program. The program will grant a Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree. The PA Program will deliver a rigorous and robust curriculum, one that will prepare graduates for success when taking the Physician Assistant National Certification Examination (PANCE). More importantly, in alignment with the program’s mission statement, the curriculum and all associated requirements have been designed to transform students into “…competent, compassionate and comprehensive” Physician Assistants.
I would like to extend our best wishes for your success as you endeavor to become a Physician Assistant. If you have any questions or would like to know more after reviewing our web site, please feel free to contact us by calling 828-398-2584 or emailing [email protected].
Sincerely,
