What You’ll Learn

The Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor Technician Certificate program at South College is designed to focus on the knowledge and skills needed in professional flexible endoscope reprocessor technician roles. This 3-month certificate program focuses on the areas of:

Preparation and storage of supplies and equipment for patient care
Medical terminology and procedures involving flexible endoscopes
Safety and infection control
Sterile processing
Sterilization monitoring and quality control

Upon successfully completing the program, you will be eligible to sit for the Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor Certification Exam offered by the Certification Board for Sterilization Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).

Keys to Success

The AS in Respiratory Therapy program is designed to prepare graduates to attempt national credential examinations administered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC). Our program can be completed in as little as 2 years full-time with a mix of online and in-person learning at our Knoxville campus.
