If you have been impacted by a school closing, South College is here to support you. As a regionally accredited institution with 60+ degree programs, and a new Closed Institution Transfer Grant, we will help you continue to pursue your dreams.
A New Transfer Grant to Help You Complete Your Education
South College has introduced the new Closed Institution Transfer Grant to support students impacted by school closings. This grant can provide up to $1000 toward tuition and fees per quarter to students who meet eligibility requirements and transfer within 12 months of their school closing.
To maintain the grant, students must remain continuously enrolled while earning a minimum GPA of 2.0 for each term in which they receive an award.
This transfer grant is available to full-time or part-time students pursuing programs online, or at our Knoxville, Nashville, Atlanta, or Asheville campuses. To discuss transferring to South College and your eligibility for this grant, contact the South College Department of Admissions at your nearest campus or online. Our team is here to support you and work with you one-on-one throughout your decision-making and transfer process.
Transferring Your Credit to South College
For Undergraduate Students: We’re committed to helping you stay on track so that you can complete your studies and build the career you’ve been dreaming of. While transfer credit is determined on an individual basis, South College may accept up to 75% of the total hours required for your program.
Credit for your prior coursework may be given if the course was:
- taken at an accredited collegiate institution,
- equivalent to courses offered at South College, and carries a grade of C or better.
To maximize your transfer of credit, our staff will carefully review your completed courses and work with you to determine a new plan to graduation. You can find more of our Transfer Credit policies here, or contact our Admissions team to discuss your unique situation.
For Graduate Students: You have a goal of advancing, and we want to help you get there. Our graduate level transfer credit policies vary depending on your program of interest. Details for each program are listed in our Academic Catalog. Our Admissions team is here to walk you through that information and create a personalized transfer plan for you whenever you’re ready.
