Choosing Your Medical Assisting Program
In the Certificate in Medical Assisting program, you’ll study basic concepts in medical assisting and explore the ethical and legal responsibilities that you’ll encounter every day as a medical assistant. The program is designed to allow for easy transition to our associate of applied science degree program if you choose to continue your education. Successful completion of the certificate program can also qualify you to take the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam.
The Associate of Science in Medical Assisting program dives deeper into specialized topics like billing and coding, anatomy, physiology, lab procedures, and more. The associate program is not programmatically accredited.
Regardless of which path you take; South College is here to provide you with a quality education and the personalized attention you need to prepare to be a medical assistant.
