Are you looking to embark on a new career path? We’re excited to announce that our Associate of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant program is now being offered at our Nashville Learning Site.
A Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is a technically educated health provider who primarily assists the physical therapist and may help manage a wide-range of medical conditions such as sprains, fractures, burns, work and sports-related injuries, arthritis and many more. This is a great career path for those who have a passion for helping others on the road to recovery.
The program is designed to take 24 months and will include didactic learning, as well as internships. The internship offered through the program consist of hands-on clinical education and take place in a variety of healthcare facilities throughout the area.
It’s the mission of South College to develop knowledgeable, motivated, competent professionals who have the skills necessary to meet the career demands of an entry-level physical therapist assistant. Through education and skills learned throughout the program, we strive to produce graduates who serve the diverse needs of their communities.
