Do you want to be a really, really great student? Well, then there are four things you should always try and do. You might not always have time to do all of them, but put forth the effort and you’ll see results.
Ask for help
You have tons of resources available to you as a college student, but you have to seek them out. Take advantage of the numerous resources available to you at college such as tutoring, faculty office hours and study groups. After all, you are paying for them!
Do the reading
It’s easy to skip over the reading when you have a dozen papers and projects to do. But taking a few minutes to review as much of the reading as you can will make a big difference when it comes to test day and even when it comes to participating in class discussions.
Study each day
So the last thing you probably want to do after being in classes and at work all day is study even more when you get home. But even spending just 30 minutes to review the material and organize notes can really make a huge difference.
Go the extra mile
Great students always do the extra credit or attend after-hours study sessions–even if they aren’t required. That’s what makes them really great students; they go the extra mile and reap the rewards.
