Understanding the Role of Pharmacists

As a pharmacist, you could dispense prescription medications to patients and offer expertise in the safe use of prescriptions. Pharmacists also may conduct health and wellness screenings, provide immunizations, oversee the medications given to patients, and provide advice on healthy lifestyles.

Characteristics of our 3-Year PharmD Program
  • Located at our Knoxville Campus or Online/Hybrid Pathway
  • Led by highly experienced faculty committed to preparing you to enter the pharmacy field
  • Features specialty pharmacy labs and equipment, including a compounding lab, sterile lab, and a lab that simulates a collaborative care environment such as a hospital, clinic, or long-term care facility
  • Requires applying your knowledge in hands-on labs and real-world clinical situations overseen by professional pharmacists
