Determination, flexibility, and concentration will be extremely helpful, and you will need strong leadership and communication skills, as well as an excellent work ethic and a willingness to collaborate.
South College is committed to providing any support we can to help our students succeed. Nursing faculty members are accessible and approachable, and course tutors, the Writing Lab, and the Math Lab are available for assistance with core skills.
The South College Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at the Parkside (Knoxville) Campus received initial approval from the Tennessee Board of Nursing in 2003, with full approval granted in September 2008. The program was last reviewed in 2014, with full approval continued. The BSN program at the Asheville Learning Site received initial approval from the North Carolina Board of Nursing in February 2016. The BSN program at the Nashville Learning Site received approval from the Tennessee Board of Nursing in November 2016.
The BSN program at the Parkside (Knoxville) Campus was granted continuing accreditation in 2011 by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. (3343 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 850, Atlanta, GA 30326, (404) 975-5000, http://www.acenursing.org/) for a period of eight years. The next review is anticipated in 2019. The ACEN approved the Substantive Changes report regarding the addition of the BSN program at the Nashville Learning Site in January 2017; a Focused Visit is to be conducted in the fall of 2017.
The baccalaureate degree in nursing program at South College is pursuing initial accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http:www.aacn.nche.edu/ccne-accreditation). Applying for accreditation does not guarantee that accreditation will be granted.
Offering programs at the South College Atlanta Campus is pending SACSCOC approval. The institution has also submitted application to the Georgia Board of Nursing to offer the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Accelerated) program. All approvals must be received prior to courses/programs being offered at this location.

Program Tuition Rate
South College offers flat-rate tuition, which provides students the opportunity to take more hours for a lower cost. 10-18 hours is the same cost regardless of how many hours are taken.
