What You’ll Learn
Earning an Associate of Science in Network Administration and Security degree from South College equips you with the marketable skills necessary to pursue a career in Information Services (IS) or Information Technology (IT). Our fully online program involves two years of extensive computer instruction.
By graduation, you’ll have the ability to set up, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain computer network systems in a wide range of computing environments, as well as implement and monitor computer security measures within these environments. In addition to their major curriculum courses, students take courses in the humanities, social sciences, mathematics and business to broaden their overall knowledge, oral and written communication skills, and critical thinking skills.
Students work hands-on with hardware and software, even assembling computers from scratch. This kind of practical experience gives graduates a solid foundation of technical knowledge so that they should not only be able to pass certification exams, but enter the workforce with confidence.
